We have put together a list of frequently asked questions and answers below. If you have a question that is not answered here feel free to contact us at info@nutraorganics.com.au or check out the product pages for product specific questions.
When our collagen products (Collagen Beauty, Collagen Body and Collagen Build) are being mixed and first filled into the tubs, the powder becomes aerated and extremely fluffy and the tub is filled to the top. After a few days, the powder then settles to the point in which you have received it. If we were to put it into smaller tubs they would be overflowing and we would not be able to fill it with the weight of the product specified on the packaging. Please be assured that your full dose of collagen is in there as we sell by weight and not volume.me.

We are passionate about nourishing every member of the family, so most of our products are pregnancy and breastfeeding friendly, and suitable for kids 12 months and up! Click here to view our pregnancy & breastfeeding friendly products.

Wherever possible we strive to use Australian grown products. Unfortunately with fruit and vegetable products this is not always possible due to variations in the seasons ie. Mangoes only grow in Queensland during the summer months. There is also the fact that some fruits and vegetables simply aren’t grown in Australia such as our Brazilian supplied Acai. These factors aside we do however go to every effort to ensure that our suppliers are not only ethical but must adhere to our strict certified organic regulations.

All raw ingredients made in Australia or imported must adhere to strict guidelines for the content of heavy metals set by each states food authority. This means that all raw ingredients are tested and that no ingredients that do not meet the strict parameters are used in production. This is an Australia wide requirement and food law that Nutra Organics will always abide by to ensure our products are not only the highest quality nutritionally but also the safest.

Nutra Organics is a health food company that creates products solely for the purpose of nourishing our bodies with organic, high quality health foods. Therefore we do not promote any of our products to have any therapeutic effect or benefit. For further information regarding this or any concerns you may have regarding our products and a specific health condition we recommend consulting your primary physician.

At the moment, our products are available only available to purchase online for our US customers, so you're in the right place.

All of our black tubs are 100% BPA free and recyclable. We use these for products such as our Collagen Beauty or Protein Powders for example. However, our pouch packagings that are used for our Superfood Lattes and Bone Broths, for example, are not recyclable and need to be disposed of in a responsible manner in general waste.

We are working hard to source materials for all of our packaging substrates to be compostable or recyclable. You can learn more about our sustainability commitment here.

Nutra Organics blended products are all manufactured in Australian facilities. We also employ equal opportunity employees through The Endeavour Foundation and Synergy Group to package our Wholefood Pantry range. We do this to ensure we are doing our part to give back to our community and that all Australians, including those with a permanent disability, have equal opportunities in the workplace.

When Nutra Organics started, we relied heavily upon our fellow small businesses to help us grow. We believe in returning the favour by supporting them and ensuring that all of our products are manufactured within a 100km radius of our headquarters in Murwillumbah, NSW. Of course this isn’t always possible when it comes to packaging our goods but we will not leave Australian shores and only go so far as another state when absolutely necessary.

We don't add nuts to any of our bars or nutritional powders. Some of the products are produced in a facility that also processes nuts and is therefore labeled the appropriate allergy warning statement.

The majority of Nutra Organics products are classifiable as vegan however there are a few exceptions. Our Bone Broth range is made from organic chicken or grass fed bovine bone so therefore certainly isn’t vegan. Likewise with our Collagen Beauty, Collagen Beauty Bars, Collagen Body, Collagen Build and Natural Gelatin powder which contains bovine-derived Collagen. Our Mermaid and Golden Lattes contain Manuka Honey. However, we do make a conscious effort to utilise only organic and ethically produced animal products to ensure we are doing our bit for the environment, our animal friends and fellow humans. If you are after a bone broth alternative we do have three delightful kinds of Vegetable Broth which are vegan. We have also made sure that no vegan misses out on our Superfood lattes by creating our Velvet latte and Lunar Latte which contains no animal products.

The seals are heat sensitive which means as the lid is screwed down it is sealed at the same time. Sometimes the seal can lift when the jar is first opened as the seal and the lid can become one when finalising the product, rest assured it has been properly sealed.

We would like to put your mind at ease about the silica we use in our products - yes the packet does carry a warning as some silica contains toxic additives. You would have noted our silica beads are clear in colour, they do not have any nasty chemicals added to the gel beads (some silica beads may be blue, pink or even orange)

Every single aspect of our products is 100% food safe, we will not add anything to our products that we would not have in our own homes.

Yes, our products are safe for children to take, however we do recommend that children take smaller amounts than the suggested amounts for adults - Please follow the guidelines set on the package. If your child is above 12 months old we suggest that you half the dose - or take half a teaspoon - whichever is smaller. Also we always advise that for a child above 12 months you seek advise from your health care practitioner as every child has different sensitivities, food tastes and nutritional requirements.

The refractance method is where the produce is pulped then laid onto large pads. Gently moving underneath the pulped produce is water at around 80 degrees, which gently evaporates the water out of the produce - leaving a dried product. The nutrient levels retained are around 65% - 80% which means temperature sensitive vitamins, minerals and antioxidants are concentrated and retained in the finished powder.

This huge retention and concentration of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants such as anthocyanins and polyphenols is what gives the finished product its naturally intensified flavour and vibrant colours.

Another benefit of having fruit or vegetable dehydrated by the refractance method is that the chance of spoiling are very slim as the moisture needed for bacteria proliferation is completely evaporated, therefore fruits and vegetables in this form will maintain their freshness and are shelf stable to last up to months in the pantry!

Good news coeliac and gluten intolerant friends, none of our products have any ingredients that contain gluten!
